For those with education as their passion, learning never stops. Mount Marty’s Elementary Education program in Watertown works with you as you become a certified teacher.

Our program combines theory and practice to produce high-quality, caring teachers who inspire the next generation of learners.

CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE EVERY YEAR

You’ll work with faculty who are practicing classroom teachers — current in their knowledge and experience. Our small class sizes allow instructors to identify your strengths and help you grow in character and teaching ability.

In addition to your own learning in the classroom, you’ll gain experience in local schools every year, through freshman teacher orientation class, field experience, practicum and student teaching experience.

MAJOR OR MINOR OPTIONS

Students have the opportunity to earn a special education minor or major. Mount Marty University also offers Elementary Education program completion and Secondary Education certification only programs for those who have already completed a bachelor’s degree other than in education.
