Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Information
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress passed the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided grant funds to higher education institutions to assist students with costs related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. On December 27, 2020, the President of the United States signed the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF). Section 18004(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSAA) Act offers institutions funds to ease the burden students have experience with their educational paths during the 2020-2021 award year.
